For the past six years, Gary Gladstone has led the Stakeholder Relations team at Reena, and is currently the Chair of the Intentional Community Consortium (representing over 60 agencies across Ontario and Quebec), advocating for housing and supports for those with developmental disabilities. He is also the Chair of the Government Relations Committee of OASIS (province wide organization representing 200+ developmental services member agencies across Ontario, supporting 65,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities)

Working closely with CMHC and all levels of government across Canada, he was successful in ensuring that those with a developmental disability got special recognition in the recently released National Housing and Dementia Strategies. He is a recipient of the Order of Vaughan as well as the Queen’s Platinum and Diamond Jubilee Awards.

 

David Petkau is the Executive Director of Karis Disability Services’ South District. David started as a Direct Support professional with Karis Disability Services (Christian Horizons) 32 years as ago. David has served in many capacities including, Program Manager, Director of Operations and Director of Community Engagement. In his roles David, among other things, has sought to lead the organization through transformative approaches to the housing challenges that people that experience a developmental disability face.

 

 

Patricia Franks (BSc. BEd.) is a retired science teacher and a dedicated community volunteer advocating on behalf of people with developmental disabilities and their families. Patricia is the driving force behind establishing the parent network Caledon Area Families for Inclusion (CAFFI), the Caledon Housing Initiative, and CAFFI HOUSING INC. a not-for-profit corporation started as a pilot project through the Caledon Housing Initiative to address the housing issues for adults with developmental disabilities.

In March 2025, Patricia received the King Charles III Coronation Medal.

 

Ann Bilodeau has been employed with KW Habilitation for 45 years.  She has been Chief Executive Officer for the last 15 years and has seen the organization go through major growth during this time. KW Habilitation has become a developer and advocate for affordable housing under Ann’s leadership; opening a 22-unit building, and working on an 18-unit building. The units include people with developmental disabilities and encourage a “neighbour-helping-neighbour” model.

 

 

 

Jonathan Bradshaw currently serves as the Director of Advocacy and Strategic Partnerships for Community Living Toronto. His focus is on advancing policy related to inclusionary housing units and supporting advocacy and government relations initiatives tied to Community Living Toronto’s Lawson Redevelopment housing project.

Previously, Jonathan had served as Director of Advocacy, Policy and Strategy for OASIS in Ontario. Prior to that, he worked for a number of years with the Government of Ontario, including as Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of Community and Social Services, where he supervised policy development for the Developmental Services and Adult Services sectors. He also held positions in the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Indigenous Affairs, Ministry of Tourism and Culture and the Ministry of Culture.

 

Norma joined the board of New Age Support Services (NASS) in 2024, following 15 years of volunteer involvement with a range of fundraising initiatives. She is eager to contribute to NASS’s development as a national non-profit supporting individuals who may otherwise be overlooked, and to advance housing opportunities for this population. Norma brings 28 years of experience in the Disability Serving Community, beginning her career as a front-line support worker in rural Alberta after completing her education. Over the years, she has held a variety of positions and has served New Age Services Inc. for the past 19 years, most recently as Executive Director. She is committed to service excellence and to supporting individuals of all abilities in leading fulfilling lives.
